Saman Harris

Saman has a strong background developing and leading legal teams in high-growth tech companies; his experience spans regulatory, commercial, product, employment, finance and corporate work.

Vivek N. Boray
Attorney-at-law
With over 15 years’ experience as a startup lawyer, advisor, and mentor to early-stage startup founders in Silicon Valley, New York, and across the world, Vivek joins Seven Legal to lead their US Corporate practice.
Qualified to practice in California and New York, Vivek started his career in Silicon Valley with Wilson Sonsini. After working with several leading global firms, he launched his own practice in New York and Silicon Valley, later opening a Bangalore office for US/India boutique firm.
He was recently General Counsel of Locus, a state-of-the-art delivery automation platform using advanced algorithms to automate logistics. Vivek also serves as General Counsel to a Latin American-based investment fund focused on secondary investments in Emerging Markets.
Ryan Thorne

Ryan Thorne has over 15 years of legal experience in private equity, negotiated mergers and acquisitions transactions, joint ventures, restructurings, public M&A and general corporate advisory. He currently consults for Seven Legal as well as private clients including BlackRock's Financial Markets Advisory (FMA) Group in London.
In Australia, he worked as a Senior Lawyer in Woolworths Portfolio Group and was Woolworths Group Counsel for their Home Improvement Exit (including their disposal of the Masters Timber & Hardware business).
Jessica Morris
Senior Consultant
Jessica is a senior privacy lawyer qualified to practice in both England & Wales and the Republic of Ireland.
Jessica has advised clients across a range of industries on commercial and data privacy issues, including a secondment with Google and, more recently, in her role as Privacy Counsel at social networking platform TikTok.
Jessica started her legal career in-house at TfL before moving to private practice. As part of the Commercial Technology group at A&L Goodbody, Jessica advised a broad range of clients across commercial and data privacy matters.
Whilst at TikTok, Jessica advised the business on all manner of data protection issues arising across the EU and the UK.
Gemma Del Pozzo

Gemma is a senior corporate and commercial lawyer who trained at City firm Norton Rose Fulbright prior to moving in-house. She has extensive experience advising pure tech and fintech companies across the spectrum from start-up to scale up, with experience spanning corporate, commercial, employment, company secretarial, intellectual property, procurement, marketing and advertising.
Gemma has regularly advised on cross-border and non-UK matters across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the USA working in conjunction with local counsel. She has developed and scaled legal functions, managed legal tech and devised and delivered legal strategy.
Brian Fonville
Senior Consultant
Brian earned his J.D. from Stanford, as well as a Master's Degree in Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies. He has worked as a lawyer in corporate and financial matters in New York City (Skadden Arps), North Carolina, and in Prague.
He has also taught contract and commercial law for the University of London, worked for the CEELI Institute in Prague and held internships with the EBRD, OECD, Earthjustice, and the Office of Czech President Vaclav Havel. Brian is fluent in Czech, French, and Slovak, and has significant experience with cross-border transactions, M&A, software licenses, and investment funds.
Brian is a member of the bar in New York State, the Czech Republic, and England & Wales.
Emma Wayland

With 20 years' experience as an employment lawyer, Emma advises companies from startups to multinationals with a particular focus on the Tech and financial services sectors and private equity clients.
Emma regularly advises on employment aspects of corporate transactions and provides day-to-day advice on all employment law issues from employment contracts to redundancies.
Emma spent several years in-house, primarily in tech companies such as PayPal and Cloudflare and has worked with a number of international law firms including Mayer Brown and Taylor Wessing.

Jeremy Charles Espley

Jeremy is an English qualified Solicitor with over 25 years’ experience specialising in M&A, cross jurisdictional transactions, asset-backed finance for startups, TMT, IT outsourcing and Recruitment.
A Cambridge University graduate, Jeremy began his career at Fox Williams, going on to advise Logica PLC on numerous acquisitions across 44 jurisdictions; Gulftainer, a leading port operator in the UAE, on acquisitions in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Brazil and Russia; and has consulted for some of the UK’s leading technology companies, including Vodafone and BT.
Jeremy has also acted as General Counsel to US owned hospitality technology provider, Guestline and currently acts as GC to two MNCs headquartered in the UK and India.
Mo Abbas
IP & Trade Mark Consultant
Mo is our Trade Mark and Design Rights expert and supports businesses with their overall trade mark strategy, both in the UK and globally by carrying out IP audits and advising on how best to approach and manage their trade mark portfolios.
Mo advises on all matters relating to trade marking, including general advice, global registration, maintenance and enforcement. Furthermore, he has assisted many businesses in claiming their social media handles across major social media outlets such as TikTok and Instagram.
Mo's speciality is working with Startups, SMEs and Entrepreneurs to get their brand protected and set it up for world domination and particularly enjoys the educational side of making clients aware of their rights and the pitfalls of a complex area of law, which business owners often underestimate when taking a DIY approach.
Andrew Dwyer

Andrew is an M&A, PE, VC and corporate lawyer. He trained at premier international firms for over ten years in New York and Sydney.
Andrew has managed and led multi-billion dollar company acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and reorganizations for global clients, adding broad commercial skills, including recently working as senior legal counsel to an airline, initiating a stock listing process and counselling startups that have qualified to receive venture funding.
Natalie Salunke

Natalie is an experienced General Counsel who has been managing legal teams in-house for over 12 years at organisations including Zilch (consumer finance), RVU (price comparison), Fleetcor (corporate cards), Enterprise Rent-A-Car (car rental), NetSuite (SaaS) and Venda (eCommerce). In these roles she has advised companies on all legal matters, as well as adopting an advisory role in relation to the group's shareholders, board of directors and executive management. Prior to Venda, Natalie worked in foreign exchange provider Travelex's legal team in London after having trained at law firm Taylor Wessing.
Natalie is a member of the O Shaped Lawyer steering board, a visiting lecturer at The University of Law, a NED at Middlesex County Cricket Club, and a trustee of both the Young Urban Arts Foundation and Kent Union.
Vicki Dasan

Vicki has over 20 years of experience in senior HR positions. Starting her career with Vodafone on their inaugural HR graduate training programme, she progressed rapidly to a position supporting an IT division and finished her time there by setting up the HR helpdesk for 11,000 employees.
Vicki moved to Accenture in an in-house HR role, before joining PruHealth as the 6th employee pre-launch of the new company. PruHealth has now rebranded to Vitality Health and Life, and Vicki’s role as Head of People encompassed everything to do with HR moving from a start-up to one of the largest insurers in the UK.

Kellie Simpson

Kellie works with Seven Legal as VP Customer Success, supporting Bill and the team with daily activities to ensure the business runs smoothly.
Leading on much of the organisation and relationships side of Seven Legal, Kellie assists with on-boarding, client liaison, preparing monthly financial reports, looking after consultants, organising webinars, helping with email campaigns and business development activities and general legal support work.
Kellie loves Apple and the way they have made their products so instantly recognisable and sought-after. She has a Mac, Macbook, two iPads, and iPhone and an Apple Watch – so is always connected wherever she is!
Louise Walker

Louise is an Australian-qualified senior corporate lawyer with over 13 years of experience in the UK. Her extensive legal expertise spans both corporate and commercial roles, providing comprehensive legal support for businesses across industries. Louise’s legal career began in Melbourne, but she has since built a reputation in the UK for her proficiency in corporate transactions and advisory matters. Her areas of expertise include company acquisitions, disposals, start-ups, corporate reorganisations, and shareholder and board advisory matters. Throughout her career, Louise has worked at leading law firms, including Linklaters in London and Minter Ellison in Melbourne. She has also gained invaluable in-house experience at BBC Studios and served as Head of Legal for the international division of a prominent Australian engineering consultancy. Jennifer Adab

Jennifer is a highly experienced corporate and commercial lawyer with a proven track record across various industries. She provides expert legal advice to companies and individuals on a wide range of corporate matters. After qualifying at City law firm DLA Piper, Jennifer spent 4 years in their Corporate team. During this time, she successfully handled high-value, cross-border transactions, including pre-sale and post-sale multijurisdictional group reorganisations, as well as international buy and sell-side M&A, such as auction processes and joint ventures (JVs). Jennifer has significant expertise in the insurance sector, advising on M&A, corporate regulatory matters, Part VII transfers, reinsurance, loss portfolio transfers, and run-off business acquisitions. She has also supported clients with general corporate and commercial law issues, and completed client secondments at both a major run-off insurer and a leading TV platform. With her deep industry knowledge and cross-border experience, Jennifer delivers tailored, practical legal solutions to meet the needs of Seven Legal’s diverse clientele.
